This one's a tough guy. 513 hp, fat Cragars and aggressive stance.
I sold this car 10 years ago and I remember how impressed we were
with the body. It's only that much more impressive 10 years later
because it still looks like it was painted yesterday. Super nice
car in and out.
EXTERIOR: I think the body is outstanding. This car is straight as
an arrow, everything fits square and flush. Doors shut effortlessly
even with windows up. At the front of the hood where it lines up
with the headlight bezels is typically a problem area, this one
fits great! The paint is polished like glass. No ugly vinyl top,
stripes are painted correctly. Chrome, emblems, lenses,
weatherstrips are all excellent. New rear window and windshield.
Has Halogen headlights. The cowl induction flapper works. Has a
nice set of 15 inch Cragars with beefy BFG tires. Jambs are
painted, bottom of doors are clean. New sill plates.
INTERIOR: Excellent shape. It's mostly stock 1970 Chevelle with a
few upgrades. Headliner is tight as a drum. Upholstery, door panels
and carpet were replaced. Has embroidered floormats. New console
with horseshoe shifter. Dash area is all new. Has the factory gauge
package with in dash tachometer, working clock. New instrument
bezel, vents, dash pad, heater controls. Also has a set of Cobalt
gauges on the pillar and tach on the column. It is a tilt column
with a walnut deluxe wheel. A nice stereo is in glovebox, 6x9
speakers in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Only 910 miles on the completely rebuilt
performance big block 454. Dyno tune comes out to 512 horsepower at
the flywheel. Has LS-6 big port heads, roller rockers, high rise
aluminum intake with a big dual feed Holley carb and big KhN
breather. Nice set of coated Hooker headers, complete MSD ignition
system including wires. The motor is kept cool with an aluminum
radiator. It is dressed up under here with some extra chrome.
Everything's very neat and tidy. Bottom of the hood is painted
smooth satin black, has hood insulation. The components for the
cowl induction flapper door are replaced. The wiper motor, brake
booster and master look new. Has custom filler panel in front of
radiator with1970 Chevelle etched in.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's been completely boxed in and carpeted.
Sharp looking Chevelle embroidered on the back panel. The bottom of
the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy, weatherstrip looks
new.
UNDERSIDE: Super clean, solid floors. Bottom of motor has extra
capacity chrome pan and chrome fuel pump. The trans is a Turbo 400
with B&M finned aluminum pan. Has 12 bolt rear end. Upfront it
has disc brakes with drilled rotors. E-brake system is complete. It
has the F-41 suspension which includes sway bars and boxed control
arms. In back it has traction bars and new fuel tank. Has a fat
Flowmaster exhaust with cowbell tips.
Really, this is a nice car throughout. Looks and functions
exceptionally well. If you need some muscle, this has it! Someone
will be very pleased with this car.
