3.2-LITER ENGINE Renowned from its landmark introduction, Porsches
six-cylinder 911 remains one of the most-recognized and respected
of all sports cars. It was continuously updated, refined and
improved and while many other high-performance cars suffered
declining performance or outright extinction, Porsches 911 kept
pace with the times and grew both in power and performance. In
particular, those 911s built from 1984 to 1989 are the most
sought-after for their virtually bulletproof 3.2-liter,
217-horsepower engines. Known as the Carrera in tribute to Porsches
early-1950s successes at the Mexican open-road race, these final
examples of the second-generation 911 and especially the later
1987-90 cars are particularly desirable with their smooth and
reliable G50 transmissions. Finished in excellent Guards Red over
black livery with single-owner care from new, this 1987 Porsche 911
Carrera Cabriolet is one of just 2,653 produced for U.S. export and
marks a highly desirable example of these renowned, late-production

95,536 at the time of writing, this 911 Carrera Cabriolet is very
