Vehicle Description
It's hard not to get excited about this 1972 Dodge Challenger
Rallye tribute. After all, it's a beautiful coupe with all the
right sporty touches, including a 340 V8 with performance upgrades
and a four-on-the-floor. So it's already quite appealing before you
remember how fewer cars Chrysler built than it's Big Three
counterparts.
The Challenger's shape is one of the most popular muscle car
profiles in history, but there's something on this one that makes
it look even more exceptionally eye-catching. The well replicated
Rallye Package that gives you aggressive details like the hood
scoops and bold side strobe stripes. And this dark attitude is
continued with a well-coordinated vinyl roof, side mirrors,
blacked-out rear panel, and full-width spoiler. You can see all of
it so well, because the bold and iconic Hemi Orange is used as the
backdrop. The form-hugging bumpers, headlight bezels, hood pins,
and trim all give this plenty of brightwork. But we really know
your favorite shine comes from the bright Cragar SS wheels. After
all, they turn up the attitude on this already iconic muscle
Mopar.
The Challenger's interior was one of the best in the era for
enveloping the driver. You get a comfortable high-back bucket seat.
And the center console gives you a direct line to the iconic
pistol-grip shifter. This is a very driver-oriented setup with the
controls for the heat as well as the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo all
within easy reach. The dual-spoke sports steering wheel is a Mopar
classic, and beyond that is a full set of gauges, including a large
speedo, aux oil pressure readout, and the addition of a very handy
tach.
The 340 cubic-inch V8 is already a Mopar legend. So it's nice to
have it looking so nice under the hood of this coupe. A tidy setup
with good hoses and the proper air topper with callouts draws you
in. Better still, it has the right upgrades, like a Holly
four-barrel carburetor, K&N air filter, and a Weiand aluminum
intake. And those long tube headers give this one a terrific growl
as they feed the Flowmaster dual exhaust. You are in complete
control of the power and thunderous soundtrack thanks to the
four-speed manual transmission. This is built to enjoy, and so you
have nice driving features like power steering, power brakes
w/discs up front, and meaty BF Goodrich T/As.
Complete with owner's manual, rarely do you find a Mopar with all
the features you want that's also available for an obtainable
price. That's why you know you need to hurry on this deal. Call
