For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet 210 in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

1955 Chevrolet 210 2 Door Sedan

The Chevrolet Two-Ten, or 210, was the midrange model of the Chevrolet car from 1953 to 1957. It took its name by shortening the production series number (2100) by one digit in order to capitalize on the 1950's trend toward numerical auto names. The numerical designation '"210"' was also sporadically used in company literature. It replaced the Styleline DeLuxe model available in previous years. The Two-Ten was discontinued after the 1957 model year to be replaced by the Biscayne. The Two-Ten shared the wedge-shaped side trim with the Bel Air, but unlike the Bel Air (which had the wedge filled with an aluminum trim panel) the Two-Ten's wedge was painted either body color, or top color with the optional two-tone paint package. "Chevrolet" in script was mounted inside the wedge.

If you are thinking about owning a classic Chevrolet from the mid 1950's, you know something you can hop into and go for a cruise down to your local McDonalds (it started in 1955) or just wasting gas cruising listening to Bill Haley and The Comets, or maybe showing off your girl's new poodle skirt, all in near showroom style, then this 210 will grab you and never let go. Immaculately restored, it is hard to find any fault with this car, the quality of restoration is that good. Every detail has been attended to even in the trunk where the spare would slide into, is perfect! Unbelievable.

Exterior
Bathed in Metallic Neptune Green (its original under the dash if you want to peek), this car had the exterior panel total once over before the water-based paint went on. Same for all the chrome, badging and brite work, as it is truly gorgeous, straight, and near perfection. Glass is clean and believed to be original. The two-side spear trim pieces are straight as arrows, and shoot their way from the rear quarter, to the doors, ending near the consistent gap. Chromed Cragar wheels have Goodrich wide radials outside and are on all 4 corners. Dual chrome tipped exhaust pipes peek out from the underside of the rear bumper, and those make this car sound great! Amazing.

Interior
Step into the time machine Peabody and Sherman, as we open the door, we are met with styling right out of 1955 and all correct I might add. Checkerboard Gaberdine Green and White stitching upper panels in the door, bounded by square embossed White vinyl, then a little clearer Gabardine Green on the bottoms, and this is just the door panels! Moving our eye inside we can see more Gaberdine Green stitched checkerboard and mix in a lot of pristine White vinyl for the bolsters, front and rear seats, and we are in true greaser/DA heaven. A two-toned Exterior matching Neptune Green and off-white metal dash with the iconic twin eyebrow shaped fans house the speedometer, and passenger badging. Carpeting is absolutely spotless Gaberdine Green, and talk about attention to detail, steering column is gorgeous, as well as under the dash venting, and rubber firewall lining. Very Cool!

Drivetrain
Like it's right out of the showroom, the original engine has been replaced with a Chevy ZZ1 350 Crate Engine which produces 345hp. Attached is a 700R4 automatic transmission, and a 12 bolt Camaro 3.73 rear. Vroooooom.

Undercarriage
Looking like new we can see plenty of epoxy painted and chip coated frame, floorpans, toe kicks, and rockers. They are jet black, and the only interruption from this sea of black is the Flowmaster 2.5" dual exhaust, and a new fuel tank. Noted are 2" dropped steel spindles with disc brakes have been added for extra stopping power. Squeaky Clean.

A really nice example, bordering on what we would consider concours, but with an updated engine, transmission, and some snazzy wheels. A wonderful preserved example, turn the key, pull into the drive in, and rock and roll. Sweet...Vintage...Minty!
