Vehicle Description
1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396
Real Deal "138" Super Sport with an ALL ORIGINAL body
We just picked up this super nice 66? Chevelle Super Sport today
from a good friend who recently bought it back from the guy he sold
it to in th early 2000?s. He told me when he original bought it in
the late 90?s that it had recently been retsored with new paint
etc. He said that over the years he saw the car at all the local
car shows & cruise-ins always keeping in contact with the previous
owner, so when it became time to sell it our buddy was first in
line to buy it. Problem is she is beginning to show age. Our
intentions are to repaint the car but out body/paint shop is
currently backed up on work, so while we are waiting for an opening
we figure we would list it for sale AS-IS.
Take some time and really check this car out, it wont take much at
all to make this a killer High End Car.
The body is ALL ORIGINAL, thats right ALL ORIGINAL including 1/4?s,
floor & trunk and almost perfect with the exceptions of a few dings
and cracks. The paint is nice and hold a great shine but as
mentioned is old and getting worn out. We are going to buff it out
for the hell of it and see what kind of life we can bring back to
it. All Chrome and trim show nicely and are in what I?d call good
condition. The black bucket seat with factory console interior is
really nice! with what appears to be newer carpet, and
reupholstered seats. Door panels, dash and headliner are all in
great shape.
Power comes from a fresh built 1970 396c.i. - 350h.p. big block
engine that my buddy we purchased from just had professionally
built last week! all reconditioned and rebuilt with a hard hitting
cam and roller rockers. It is backed by a tight shifting M-21
4-speed Transmission with Hurst shifter and a 12 bolt Posi-Traction
rear with 4:10 gears.
Features Include:
Power Steering
New Front Disc Brakes
Tilt Steering Column
New Ceramic Coated Headers
New Flow Master Dual Exhaust
15" Weld Racing Wheels
New Radial Tires
This Chevelle is far beyond just a project car She?s actually a
really decent car that has older paint that still looks great.
Someone needs to take advantage of this rare opportunity to get a
real "138" Super Sport Chevelle at a super price. Drive this car
the way she is for the rest of cruisin? season and repaint it if
you think
