Vehicle Description
What has endless vintage curb appeal along with abundant wheel
clearance that allows it to conquer off-road obstacles in a single
bound? That would be this 1974 Chevrolet Blazer K5 4x4. It's also
propelled by a potent big block engine beneath its hood and, after
benefitting from a thorough, frame off restoration, is ready to
provide plenty more miles of future driving excitement, both on and
off the asphalt.
Aesthetically speaking, as well as in all other respects, this
vintage SUV is clicking on all cylinders. The imposing 6" lift it
sports will capture your attention while it's still far off in the
distance and as it draws closer you'll see that it not only adds a
captivating, aggressive appearance but also provides all the wheel
clearance necessary for a mountain goat like ability to navigate
rough terrain. Despite the temptation this Chevy carries to engage
in spirit off-roading, the fresh white exterior on display here is
looking sharp - new doors, fenders and quarter panels have been
added and all of them blend well with their surrounding sheet
metal. The blemish free paint adds even more vitality to the mix,
and fender flares in both front and back give the wheel wells a
nice, finished look. The Blazers of this era boasted a removable
hard shell top for exhilarating open-air fun - a feature that would
give way to a half-cab design not long after this '74 rolled out -
and the representative included here is in great shape.
The interior is fresh as can be and shows all the hallmarks of a
recent installation. The front buckets and rear bench seat have
been revitalized to optimum comfort and are dressed in nicely
fitted vinyl covers, while just below the light brown vinyl
protectant lining the floor has a Rhino-like texture. Clearly this
is an interior that has been treated with a lot of care and has
also likely seen little use. The dash area has been restored to top
form, with a newly applied woodgrain accent surrounding its
collection of clear and functional factory gauges and a showroom
condition dash pad running across the top. A sturdy steel roll cage
spans most of the cabin, offering a welcome measure of safety
during spirited off-roading. Lower the liftgate and you'll find
that same sturdy vinyl protectant covering the floor of the rear
storage area to keep it free from any excessive scuffing from
shifting cargo.
Ample power for both on and off the asphalt comes via the 400 cubic
inch V8 eagerly waiting to spring into action under the hood. This
engine is built for action, armed with an Edelbrock intake manifold
and Holley 4-barrel carb, as well as a mild performance cam to add
just a bit of extra muscle without sacrificing overall drivability.
The powerplant resides in a clean, well -organized compartment,
surrounded by a freshly painted firewall and inner fenders and
sends a rich, deep exhaust note into the long tube headers leading
out to its dual exhaust. When the urge to navigate rough terrain
calls, 4-wheel drive surefootedness sits within easy reach on the
transmission tunnel via a signature 2 stick transfer case and the
feature is in good working order. Power steering makes this
substantial ride easy to navigate, while power brakes that position
discs up front bring the set of 15" steel wheels wearing beefy 35"
Mickey Thomposon Baja ATZ tires to dependable, low effort
stops.
It's not often that you'll come across a vintage SUV that's

Chevrolet Blazer K5 4x4, so this is a very rare opportunity. Call
