Vehicle Description
Some time in 2016, a product planner decided Golden Yellow
Metallic
would be a cool color for a 911 Turbo. We agree. Porsche announced
the
911 Turbo S Exclusive Series in 2017, featuring a coupe and
cabriolet in
Golden Yellow Metallic. The Project Gold 993 Turbo followed the
next year
in the same finish.
The Exclusive Series showcases the vast array of personalization
options
available to Porsche customers from the factory. A unique feature
of this
iteration is the gold-colored metallic thread woven into all carbon
elements
- a production-car first previously considered unfeasible.
But the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series isn't just another pretty
face. The
engineers turned up the boost pressure and tweaked the engine
control to
up the power to 607 hp, 27 more than the standard 911 Turbo S.
That
shaves a full three-tenths of a second off the 0-60 time achieved
by the
standard model. That's down from just 3.1 seconds to a stunning
2.8
seconds.
Limited production, cool color, right options, wicked fast. Works
for us.
