1965 Chevy Malibu SS real 138 vin code highly optioned convertible. Rare Evening Orchid P paint code car originally built in Baltimore with a black top and a (714) imitation black leather bucket seat interior. Previous owner restored it about 12 years ago and changed it to a (792) white interior and top. This Malibu is equipped with a power top, power windows and the power driver’s seat option (power seat track is not working and is removed but it is included with the sale) all power seat wiring is intact. The car has a tilt wheel a factory console, dash tachometer and the padded dash with an optional dash clock. It also has a factory working AM/FM radio. It is powered by a rebuilt well detailed 283 with the 4GC 4-barrel carburetor, dual exhaust, power steering power brakes and a two-speed power glide transmission. It has front and rear sway bars as well as new rear coil springs. The car has many NOS and date code correct parts installed and looks very original. All chrome is bright and in mint condition It starts stops and runs as it should and can be driven anywhere. It has a very small oil drip when it sits for long periods at the rear oil pan but no other fluid leaks. The previous owner stated the car had 40,000 miles showing on the odometer at the restoration. The floor has two areas where floor pans have been welded in. The trunk and frame are rust free with a light under coating. The body is straight, and all gaps are tight and even. The paint is bright and shines well. There are two spots on the body that could use some attention and they are documented in the pictures. The first is the passenger side front corner of the hood it has a small area that has blistered. The second area is the passenger side lower door corners. They show signs of a past repair. The rest of the car shows very well, and it is a real head turner at car shows. It is ready to drop the top and cruise all summer as it is or give it a repaint and bring it to the next show car level.
