Vehicle Description
There is no one word to describe this 1970 Mustang Resto Mod. Every
little detail has been addressed, and this is truly a top-notch
build! Impressive doesn't even come close to explaining how
well-done this car is. It may look like a "regular" 1970 Mustang
from the outside, but it is hiding a whole lot of fun secrets
inside and underneath.
If you want a sleeper, look no further. With the hood shut,
absolutely nobody will see the tail-whoopin' they are about to
receive coming! This is no 289 Mustang secretary car. We'll just
cut right to the chase; this bad boy is 5.0 Coyote swapped! You
read that correctly; the mad scientist that put this puppy together
managed to shoehorn a Coyote motor in it. This Mustang sounds
great, drives great, and runs like the world's fastest stallion
with a wolf on its tail! Sitting on TCI suspension, it is no wonder
this car handles like an absolute dream. Doug's long tube headers
and a Magnaflow exhaust kit are responsible for the glorious tones
this car makes, and a Performance AODE transmission makes for
smooth sailing on the open road.
This is one of those vehicles that just keeps getting better! If
you aren't sold on it yet, one look at the underside ought to do
it. All of the sheet metal work was done professionally and
properly, and it sure looks great. Subframe connectors are in
place; and absolute must for any Mustang packing this much power!
Additionally, 4-wheel disc brakes have been installed and all
braking components are from Wilwood. The master cylinder and brake
pedal were professionally relocated to accommodate the larger
engine, but from inside the car you would never know! The rear end
is a Quick Performance 9-inch with Eaton Trutrac.
The inside of this Mustang is perhaps what makes it most unique,
aside from what is under the hood of course. A full TMI interior
has been installed, giving the car a slightly modern look while
retaining most of the original styling cues. TMI components include
seat upholstery, dash pad, center console, and door panels. What is
great about the TMI items is that they fit as replacements for OEM
materials, meaning the interior doesn't feel out of place and
little to no modifications are required. Dakota Digital gauges have
been installed along with a RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth
compatibility. Yet again, the new is seamlessly integrated with the
old.
The exterior is gorgeous. Finished in Grabber Blue, it has retained
all of the original styling cues with no extreme modifications. At
first glance, the Coyote scoop doesn't even appear out of place!
This is what is so appealing about this Mustang; it looks mostly
original from the outside and most folks will be none the wiser.
The body and paint were professionally done, and it is some of the
best body and paint work you will see anywhere. Good luck finding a
flaw!
The owner of this car invested over $60,000 in parts not including
all the painstaking labor it took to make this car 100% dialed in
and finished out and not including purchase of the car in the first
place. You would be hard pressed to build one this stunning for the
price, and it genuinely doesn't get much cooler than this!
