Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this stunning frame off restored 1972 Triumph TR6 which is beautiful overall condition and has less than 100 miles driven on full restoration. This TR6 was fully disassembled and painted in beautiful factory Emerald Green exterior paint and complimented by a fully restored Factory black interior. This TR6 has been completely restored and features a beautiful paint job in Emerald Green, a fully restored interior, and a rebuilt original drive line. This TR6 is turn key and is ready for show or go. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Emerald Green exterior over Black interior. This is the factory color scheme as noted on the commission plate pictured above.
Exterior
The Green exterior is in super nice restored condition. This TR6 was treated to a recent professional paint job and shows very well in base coat/clear coat Emerald Green paint. The body was completely removed from the frame and the engine bay was fully stripped and the engine removed prior to the repaint. The paint is in great condition and has a nice shine and great gloss and is smooth to the touch. Engine was removed and the engine bay has the same level of paint as the body does. The body is very solid and there is no rust or bubbling paint on the body. The underside is very solid as well. Front suspension has been fully restored as evident in the photos. The differential was rebuilt and new bushings were installed. Both bumpers are in good overall condition. The tires have good tread left and the OEM wheels are restored with new trim rings. The convertible top was replaced and is in like new condition and works as it should. The top frame was restored as well. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition and have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean with spare tire and jack tools. A new trunk kit was installed and a new trunk carpet pad was added. Windshield has original Triple X glass as does the doors.
Interior
The Black interior of this TR6 is in terrific restored condition. The seat covers are the original covers and they are in great overall condition for their age. The seat covers are soft and the seats are very comfortable and the foam is still supportive. The carpet was replaced and in like new condition with no noticeable wear or holes. The door panels were replaced as well and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. New dash top, crash pads, knobs, mirrors and dash support side panels were installed. Rear interior panels were replaced as well. The wood dash surround is in excellent condition and looks great in the car and was recently replaced. A modern style stereo was added with newer speakers and sounds great in the car. The gauges all work and are clear and crisp. The wipers, stereo, blower motor, and all lights work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The horn is currently not working.
Mechanical
This TR6 is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives well. Previous owner states the engine and transmission were rebuilt a few years ago and the way this TR6 drives is testament to that although receipts are not available. This TR6 pulls very well and runs and drives well. We have driven this TR6 several times and it always performs well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. This TR6 is an great driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes have been serviced with a new master cylinder, new calipers, pads, and hose lines, and they do not pull and stop as they should. The clutch was also refreshed and the car shifts smoothly without issue. The exhaust was upgraded to a performance exhaust and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
