Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 convertible tribute does the
legacy proud. With a factory-correct bold color combo, A/C
interior, and a growling big block under the hood, then you know
you're looking at the standout among standouts.
Nothing but red and black is exactly how you want a muscle car to
look, and so this has been prepared that way. This is a factory
Cranberry Red car, and it has been given a professional respray
later in life. That means a nice clearcoat luster every time you
take this convertible out for a cruise - exactly what you want in a
sunshine-friendly droptop. With the black SS stripes painted on, it
makes for a fantastic coordination with the blacked-out grille,
blacked-out tail panel, sporty Mag-style SS wheels, and power
convertible top. It even has aggressive details like the hood pins
and cowl induction hood. So this one really does know how to
command attention. But there's also quality in the details. The
form-hugging bumpers have a mirror-like shine, the doors shut
solid, and the panels all fit well. This is part of respecting a
rare package. Chevrolet produced less than 9,000 Chevelle
convertibles this year, and 1970 is arguably the most desirable of
them all.
With the flip of a switch, the black electric folding roof reveals
a nice factory black interior - so this droptop has a nicely
coordinated overall appearance with the top up or down. Everyone
loves to see bucket seats and a center console in a muscle machine
like this, and it comes complete with the iconic horseshoe shifter.
This convertible feels nice inside with the carpets, door panels,
and dash all retaining their deep, dark appearance. The dual-spoke
steering wheel gives you a clear view to the SS-style gauge panel
with large speedo and tach. Plus, this has the right subtle
upgrades. The radio is a retro-style AM/FM unit with digital tuner
an aux input for four iPod, so you can have the best in top-down
tunes. Since you'll want to cruise as long as possible with the
roof off, the Vintage Air air conditioning is blowing nice and
cold.
This is the kind of motor that will make you proud to lift the hood
at car shows. The big block 454 cubic-inch V8 is exceptionally well
presented. It's a tidy setup featuring bold orange block paint,
shining valve covers, and matching air grabber. But more than just
look nice this is a serious power package with a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, MSD ignition, and a
thunderous Flowmaster dual exhaust. The total power package is fed
through a stout GM three-speed automatic transmission with shift
kit to maximize performance. Plus, control stays well in hand
thanks to power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide
radial tires at all four corners.
A bold and iconic droptop with huge power and A/C luxury. This is
truly the kind of treat that doesn't come around very often. Don't
miss out, call today!
