1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD
--Torch Red with Red interior, Red carpeting and Tan convertible top, Restored, 5.1 liter V-8, 2-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, Long term ownership and well known within Thunderbird Club circles.
D-code with all options: Engine dress kit, Positive action wipers, Ford-O-Matic transmission, Tinted glass, Power brakes, Wire wheels and White wall tires, Telescopic steering wheel, Power steering, Power windows, Power seat, Signal seeking radio, Heater, Defroster and Back up lights.
This T-Bird started life in California, being sold to its first owner by Hollywood Motors, August 1957, original build sheet included. Early history from new through 1987 is unknown, but due to the condition of the structure, it is assumed it was owned for a long period of time by Mr. Rodney Grant and in dry California climate.
In 1992, it was in the ownership of Mr. Bill Fuenfhausen, Liberty, Missouri. Mr. Fuenfhausen was well-known and a Certified Master III Judge for the Classic Thunderbird Club. In his ownership, Mr. Fuenfhausen completed a rotisserie restoration to the highest standards to make certain this Thunderbird would remain one of the best in the world. It was kept in his ownership until 2014 when purchased by Mr. Paul Maloney of Millbrook, New York. Mr. Maloney kept the Thunderbird from 2014- 2018 and used it infrequently. It was sold to its most previous caretaker, well-known collector and friend of Autosport Designs in 2018. At this time, it was treated to the following: Engine out service, Transmission rebuild and Complete refurbishment of the suspension and braking systems. Since this maintenance, it has been used approximately 750 miles in Palm Beach, Florida weather. It is extremely user friendly and will not overheat in seasonal weather.
This Thunderbird is complete with an extremely large history file, an enormous amount of service records as well as its factory owner’s manual-handbook. It remains in exceptional condition in every way and ready for immediate use or show. It is turn key.
