With just 30k miles, this 2001 Camaro SS convertible is in excellent condition and offers tremendous bang-for-the-buck. Its LS1 engine, 6-speed transmission, and power top will have you looking for excuses to hit the road.
The 2001 SS option represents a performance upgrade on top of the Z/28 option. It includes engine upgrades, suspension upgrades, and an unmistakable hood scoop. The SS convertible is somewhat rare, with only 411 6-speed cars having been built. Just 54 of these were finished in Navy Blue Metallic like this one. The paint is nicely accented by the chrome 17” wheels which wear new Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. There is also a black power top and body side moldings.
The engine is the original aluminum LS1 rated at 325 hp for the SS configuration. This is mated to a Borg-Warner 6-speed manual transmission. The rear axle has a limited slip differential with 3.42 gears. The SS suspension, steering, and brakes are all stock and unmodified.
The interior is in remarkable condition, as expected from a car with 30k miles. The ebony leather seats, door panels, dash, and carpet all look great. Note the dealer plastic in the front footwells (SS floor mats are also included). The Hurst shifter handle and SS accents set the interior apart from other Camaros. Everything works properly; lights, indicators, power windows, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD, etc. There is also a boot for the top that includes a carrying case which stows securely in the trunk. A car cover is included as well.
This is a lot of car for the money. You have a rare and desirable model that offers outstanding overall performance along with a convertible top and 6-speed transmission, not to mention very low miles and a spotless Autocheck report. All for about 1/3 the price of new!
