For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

If you want to create a crowd-pleasing custom, there are a few simple rules to follow. For starters, base your build around a popular model. Keep the paint scheme simple, the wheels tasteful and make sure to dial in the stance. And, for best results, throw in plenty of power, a capable chassis and a tailored interior that's comprised of carefully chosen materials. It's much more difficult than it sounds, but this exceptional Camaro adheres to that formula for a result that's nothing short of spectacular. Featuring supercharged Chevrolet Performance power, a tough Tremec 6-speed, a thoughtfully upgraded suspension and taught, LED-lit upholstery, no piece of this stunning F-Body was left unimproved. And if you're ready to rule the show and stop traffic on the strip, it's the killer classic your heart desires!

SIX-FIGURE STYLE TIMES TWO

Ground-up restored by Muskegon Heights, Michigan's All Speed Customs in 2014, this sweet F1 eventually found its way to Orlando, Florida's Ultimate Auto for $276K worth of additional customization. Stripped bare and made solid in Michigan, the car adopted custom metal spoilers and functional ducting that vents its supercharged engine and upgraded rear brakes. After everything was test fitted for the second time in Orlando, rich red base was accented with custom, 'brushed' striping and sealed in glossy clear. And today, this legendary Chevy rolls as one razor-sharp F1 that's poised to show and raring to go!

When it comes to muscle cars and body modifications, it's best to de-emphasize ornamentation. Too much era-correct bits will make the build look disjointed, and too much chrome just makes everything look tacky. Thankfully, this Chevy's builders did a great job of placing form over function and keeping add-ons to a minimum. At the front of the car, a shaved Rally Sport grille shades a tucked bumper, a custom chin spoiler and billet-trimmed parking lamps. Above that grille, a billet-trimmed ZL2 Cowl Induction hood draws the eye to a custom cowl panel, which props glossy wipers on flush-fit Pilkington glass. Relieved of drip rails, that smoked greenhouse frames color-keyed F2 mirrors above a slick profile that's devoid of everything but Ringbrothers door handles and billet-lined quarter vents. And at the back of the car, a custom valance hangs stylish Marquez taillights between a tucked bumper, a custom spoiler and custom, Lexus-sourced exhaust outlets.

WHIPPLE PLUS CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE

Straight from Chevrolet Performance this Camaro's 6.2 liter LS376 crate engine twists all-day power into miles of pavement-busting torque - and that's not even considering the $35K Whipple supercharger upfit that was performed by Ultimate Auto! That blower gets fed by a custom remote air cleaner, which bends around rectangular-port, L92-style heads that are dressed in monochromatic, retro-style coil covers. A nodular crank and powdered connecting rods join a hydraulic LS Hot Cam and hypereutectic pistons to create energy. Those Chevrolet-engineered internals funnel spent gases through $1,200 worth of Ultimate Auto long-tubes. There's a massive aluminum radiator that's slid between a dressed support and a big electric puller fan. A modern serpentine drive spins a black AC compressor opposite a black alternator and quality PSC steering components. Ancillaries are first rate in every way, with a familiar Holley oil pan and hot MSD plug wires complementing a trusty Wilwood master cylinder and a slick Eddie Motorsports clutch reservoir. And the sinister mill rolls in a customized, body-matched frame that's finished with niceties like custom fender braces and Fesler hood supports.

TRADITION PLUS ABILITY

Park this Camaro on a lift and you'll find solid floorpans that frame modern aftermarket components in a subdued coat of Satin Black skin. Behind the smooth-revving small block, a tough Tremec 6-speed twists power to a 12-bolt Moser axle that's finished with a Detroit Truetrac differential and big, 4.10 gears. A thoughtfully upgraded suspension centers fluid power steering between tubular control arms, Detroit Speed mini tubs, Detroit Speed subframe connectors and a quartet of coil-over-shocks. At the corners of that suspension, red Wilwood calipers utilize proven Hydratech boost to squeeze four drilled and slotted rotors. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers in to a 3-inch, Mandrel-bent exhaust system, which positions mean Magnaflow mufflers behind high-flow cats and an X-shaped crossover. And torque transitions to pavement through $12,500 of forged Alpha One wheels, which spin 255/35ZR18 Nitto Invos in front of 345/25ZR20 Nitto Invos.

SIX-FIGURE CUSTOMIZATION TIMES TWO

Behind the solid-closing doors you'll find a $24,500 leather interior that wraps piped and stitched seats in a nice blend of classic flash and modern flair. A custom, leather-capped dash hangs track-ready Racepak IQ3S telemetry beside electronic adjustment for modern climate control. Below that dash, a custom, LED-lit console anchors a colorful Pioneer head unit in front of small power window switches and a tough Ringbrothers shifter that's finished with a Bowler knob. Dressed Fesler side panels join billet Fesler handles and crisp Fesler jamb vents to frame JL Audio speakers, monochromatic foot pedals and a sturdy RideTech TigerCage. And in front of the driver, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel laps a tilting column.

Well-built, fully detailed and attention grabbing in every way, this Camaro finds the perfect midpoint between show and go. And, created in adherence to the basic tenants of custom-car building, you can rest assured that its appeal won't fade with time. If you're ready to bring home one of the coolest Chevys we've seen, free up some garage space and give us a call!
