GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1982 Chevrolet Camaro
Berlinetta for your consideration. The Camaro Berlinetta came
standard with a V6 engine but the one offered here has the optional
5.0L V8. The engine is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission
that sends all power to the rear wheels.
The Camaro Berlinetta was an attempt to de-muscle the Camaro and
make it more of a luxurious consumer car. Chevrolet redesigned the
front end of the Camaro for the Berlinetta edition making it less
harsh. The result was a car that looked more like the luxury and
standard consumer cars of the day. Finished in a sharp black, the
goal of creating a luxurious consumer muscle car was achieved with
this car. The Berlinetta was also given special 14-inch wheels that
were only available on the Berlinetta edition.
Chevrolet also made changes to the interior for the Berlinetta
edition. The example offered here has the optional Doeskin carpet
interior that is complemented by a black dashboard and center
console. Many features were included on the Berlinetta edition
Camaro to make it competitive to the more luxurious cars of the
80s. These features include power windows, power locks, power
mirrors, electric rear window defogger, and AM/FM/Cassette
radio.
Mechanically this car is in great condition and has many receipts
showing the care this car has received over the years. The engine
starts right up, idles smooth, and pulls the car down the road with
ease. The combination of the large V8 and luxurious styling makes
the Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta a truly unique car that you now
