Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this very nicely restored 1976
Triumph TR6. Finished in correct Tahiti Blue over black interior,
it's fitted with overdrive and a rare removable hard top (in
addition to black convertible top, of course). This car underwent a
comprehensive professional restoration in the early 2000s before
being acquired by the Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum in 2012 (it was
obviously held back back from the 2013 microcar auction). It's been
driven sparingly and housed in a climate-controlled garage so it
remains in flawless condition inside and out. The mileage showing
on the odometer (just over 150 miles) are the actual miles driven
since the restoration.
According to the restorer, it was a rust-free, low-mileage Arizona
car before being fully overhauled both cosmetically and
mechanically. Excellent paint over a straight and solid body with
nice panel gaps. All chrome was re-plated and shows to a
better-than-new standard. Excellent glass with all new rubbers,
seals and gaskets. Very high finish quality with attention to
detail throughout - including a nicely detailed engine bay. Coker
Classic redlines on restored factory wheels with NOS aluminum trim
rings.
Interior has been restored with many new-old-stock (not
reproduction) parts, including wood dash, steering wheel and seat
belts. All gauges, lights, switches and indicators are working
property, including the factory AM/FM stereo. Restored seats and
new Wilton Wool carpets.
Mechanically, this TR6 has been restored from stem to stern with
all drivetrain components either renewed or rebuilt. The only
deviation from stock is an electronic ignition upgrade and smog
delete - with these minor tweaks, it runs and drives better than
new. Clutch and gearbox feel great and the overdrive actually makes
this one comfortable at highway speeds.
Owner's book, original window sticker and heritage trust
certificate included with the sale. For more information about this
