Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1977 Honda Civic CVCC
5-speed. This early Civic is a nicely preserved example of the car
that put Honda on the map in the U.S. At a time when most domestic
offerings struggled to break out of the single digits in fuel
economy, the 5-speed CVCC managed a whopping 54 MPG on the highway
and is actually a lovely car to drive around town.
This example was purchased new at Woodson Pontiac-Honda in Roanoke,
Virginia and remained with the same owner for many years. It's
finished in Sophia Red and is showing 58,000 miles. It retains its
original window sticker, sales and warranty documents and
Honda/Frigiking A/C manual - yes this Civic has working air
conditioning!
The interior is largely original save for newer front seat
upholstery and retains its working Hitachi AM/FM radio. It has been
repainted once in the original color to a decent standard - old
photographs show that the original finish was tired but the car did
not appear rusty. Although once ubiquitous, it's now rare to find a
good CVCC - and this example is a fun addition to any collection.
