Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1964 Volkswagen Beetle
with desirable sunroof. This Beetle is a charming example with
78,000 original miles. It saw a professional, photo-documented
body-off restoration in 2016 completed to a nice standard with an
eye towards originality and correctness
This VW retains its original 1,200CC engine (produced in September
1963) and 6-volt charging system. It was noted in the restoration
documentation that this was never a rusty car and that only the
heater channels needed replacement. Care was taken to retain the
original Ruby Red paint in the door jambs, inner doors and
dash.
This example also retains its original one-year-only steering wheel
and radio. The Golde sunroof was reconditioned and is in working
order. New headliner and dove grey upholstery were installed along
with new tires, brakes and all service items.
Runs and drives as good as it looks - this Beetle is finished to a
very correct and high standard throughout and it's ready for shows
or touring. Extensive restoration receipts and a previous title
stating "actual miles" are included. It would be difficult to
restore a VW to this level for the asking price. Offered from the
