for a series 40 '38. An additional feature that distinguishes this
Sport Coupe (only 5574 produced) from the Business Coupe is the
fold-down 'opera seats' that can accommodate two passengers in
back. And while the styling is magnificent, additional beauty lies
beneath the skin in the form of highly advanced engineering.
Already years ahead of the competition thanks to its overhead valve
8 cylinder engines, the '38 Buicks also sported all-coil
suspensions and domed, high compression pistons for greater power
and efficiency. These advances are readily apparent when driving
this stunner because it behaves like a much newer car. Power is
supplied by the numbers matching 248 ci Dynaflash straight 8 and
passed through a smooth-shifting 3-speed manual transmission. It's
