1965 Pontiac LeMans 2-Door Hardtop Coupe - 5.7L LS1 V8 Engine -

gorgeous, classic Pontiac that is turn-key ready with a bit of a
surprise under the hood. An experienced car builder, and enthusiast
spent a lot of time on this LeMans to bring it to the amazing
condition it is currently in. The exterior of this 2 door sports
coupe is finished in the original factory color of Fontaine Blue
(Code D) and looks great! Body panels, trim, fit, and finish are
top notch. The lower quarters were replaced during the restoration
of this car, otherwise the car was a great platform to start. The
exterior was kept very simple, and was restored to the way the car
would've looked when it left the Pontiac Michigan assembly plant in
late April of '65. A well kept, simple interior that is finished in
the original color of Blue (Code 217) is crisp and clean. The
interior includes bucket seats, updated Dakota Digital
analog/digital gauges with electronic odometer, and new carpeting.
Overall this interior is in great condition and takes you back to
the late '60's - that is, until you punch the throttle... An engine
swap was undertaken in late 2016, approximately a year after the
car was purchased. The engine is an LS1 pulled from a '99 Firebird
TransAm. Along with going through and checking out the condition of
the engine which included replacing a number of ancillary parts,
making the engine fit was another task. Electronic fuel parts,
alternator relocation bracket, oil pan conversion, driveshaft
shortening and re-balance, throttle cable, wiring, and exhaust are
all things that had to be modified or sourced so this powerful
engine swap would run. The rest of the drivetrain consists of a
4160E automatic transmission, with a rear end that contains 3.73
gears. The engine also has a Tuned ECM, cold air intake, and 3 core
aluminum radiator. 17 Ridler wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich
G-Force tires which hide power front disc brakes in the front and
power drums in the rear. Ball joints, bushings, springs, and shocks
were also replaced during the restoration process. We have a
feeling this one will go fast - a quick sale, and down the road.
Don't miss out on your chance to park an unassuming, clean,
restored LeMans in your garage that has a little extra punch under
the hood! Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main
