Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this wonderfully restored
1926 Ford Model T for your consideration. The Ford Model T is one
of the most widely known cars throughout America. Known as the
first massed produced car, the Ford Model T is powered by a 176ci
L-head inline four-cylinder engine that produced 20 bhp. The engine
sends power to the rear wheels through a 2-speed planetary
transmission that shifts smoothly and confidently.
The example offered here has been completely restored and during
the time of restoration was repainted in green over black. The
paint on this Model T shows extremely well and the green body over
black fenders is a classic color combination that stands the test
of time. The car rides on painted wire wheels that add to the
classic look of the Model T. On the front of the car one can see
the Boyce Motor-Meter.
Moving to the interior one will find a black leather interior that
is in good condition. The interior is clean and has been well cared
for.
The automobile that changed the world and the one that elementary
school children learn about, the Model T is the first affordable
vehicle that opened travel to the middle class. It was the result
of several innovations including the assembly line. By 1914, the
assembly process for the Model T only took 93 minutes. It was so
successful, Ford did not advertise between 1917 & 1923. Please call
or email with any questions or for additional information.
