1953 Ford F-100 Pick up. This truck has a rebuilt flat head V8 motor, 246 Cubic Inches, .030 Overbore balanced engine with over-sized valves. Isky 400 JR Cam, Johnson adjustable tappets, milled heads, headers, and Mallory Ignition. The engine is ported, with a chopped flywheel and a 4 BRL carb. It has a 5-speed transmission on the floor and is street legal with turn signals and lights added. Yellow exterior with black naugahyde interior. Wood bed, good tires, brakes and shocks. The truck has 80,000 miles on the chasis and about 3000 on the engine.
The truck was an old farm truck found on a farm in Nebraska north of Omaha. It had been stored in a shed for many years. I found this pick up and bought it in 1996 and spent the next 8 years restoring and fixing her up. The truck was taken off of the frame except for the cab. The motor was rebuilt and souped up, the body and frame were repaired and all missing parts were replaced with original parts. The column three speed transmission was replaced with a floor shifter 5 speed transmission. Turns signals and lights were added as well as a custom exhaust and headers. I've enjoyed driving her around during nice summer days and taking her to car shows over the past 15 years in the local area. It is now time for me to let someone else enjoy driving her.
