Selling my classic truck a 1980 Chevy C10 step-side truck that has been restored to its current condition. This truck is currently registered and inspected through December 2020 and could be a daily driver for me. I’ve owned it since 2017. I removed the inline 6 and replaced it with a Chevy SB V8 350. I have had the cylinders tested and #1-120,#2-130,#3-115,#4-130,#5-125,#6-130,#7-125,#8-125 at my local automotive shop. The transmission TH400 was rebuilt at eagle transmission. I will list all that has been done to this truck;
* rebuilt THR400 transmission
*new high amp alternator, battery, HEI distributor, edelbrock carb with electric choke, starter, ps pump, heavy duty water pump, radiator, timing chain, timing chain cover and gasket, harmonic balancer, oil pan and gasket, harmonic and water pump pulley.
* converted fan cooling system to an electric fan system to keep up with the Texas heat
* installed new complete wiring harness throughout
* installed new vintage air A/C system
* retro sound radio system with Bluetooth and various connections
* new carpet and floor mats
* new full-tire spare and all hardware under bed
* 85% of tire tread left
* dual exhaust with cherry bombs installed- very nice rumble
* basic plywood bed material
Work still needed;
* driver side seat bench has a small spring coming up
* small scratches and nicks to paint
* tachometer gauge needs replaced as it quit working
* temp gauge only goes up to just above cold but heat blows fine
* small oil leak (golf ball size over night) could be from intake manifold
*gas pedal sticks a little
All in all this is a very solid truck with the hard to find step side body style. I drive it once a week to work and back to keep the battery charged. I’m only selling it because I no longer have time to tinker with it . Clean Texas title in hand. Registered as a classic truck.
