Vehicle Description
This 1976 Ford F-250 Highboy 4x4 has been owned by one family for
40 years and has 66,000 original miles. It still sports its
original factory Mecca Gold and Wimbledon White two-tone paint,
which was a one-year-only color option offered in 1976. The 360ci
engine has been rebuilt and bored to a 390ci using COMP Cam lifters
and camshaft, and fitted with Headman headers and a custom
stainless-steel Flowmaster dual exhaust system; it's backed by a
Ford Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. Other features include
factory-optioned Ford West Coast mirrors, factory front bumper
guards, dual gas tanks, Ford AM/FM radio, cab lights and a new
refreshed interior. The problem-prone original crossover power
steering was updated with a new Benchmark power steering unit. This
Highboy is stock height, not lifted. It has rear adjustable air
ride it was equipped with when new, along with new shocks, new
alloy wheels and BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires, which have been
driven less than 1,000 miles. This F-250's Marti Report shows this
truck was one of two built in its original configuration.
