Garage Kept Motors.) Garage Kept Motors is honored to present such
a beautifully restored pickup. This 1966 Ford F100 Ranger comes
with a sentimental backstory as well as having gone through a world
class restoration. Our client's dad owned a business when he was a
kid that used a Ford Ranger pickup as a shop truck. Years later,
our client decided that he would try and find the same truck that
he remembers seeing as a kid. He was able to find this Ford Ranger,
which is finished in the same Rangoon Red/Wimbledon White color
scheme as that shop truck. Street Dreams by Ross did a phenomenal
job on the restoration of this truck - this classic is museum
worthy. All the details are there, just the way this truck left
Ford's San Jose, CA plant in late 1965. We love the original color
scheme of Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White paint (Code JM) over a
red interior. As expected from a world class restoration, the
exterior is in beautiful condition. All the details are dialed in:
the body is straight, paint is excellent, chrome is new, and the
trim looks as new. The finishing touch is the hand painted Ford
lettering on the tailgate. Red bucket seats and a console look
right at home in a '66 Mustang, and look just right in this Ranger
'CustomCab'. Ranger was an option package offered on the
fourth-generation F-Series pickups, rather than a separate model
like we see currently. The Ranger package featured bucket seats,
center console, carpeting, and carpeting that covered the fuel tank
behind the seats. A sweeping needle speedometer is flanked by Fuel,
Oil Pressure, Temperature, and Alternator gauges, and a two-knob AM
Radio is mounted in the middle of the dashboard. The fancy logo
on the hood is a dead giveaway for what type of engine is under the
hood. The optional and original 352ci/208hp V8 engine is found
nestled in the engine bay. The engine and Cruise-O-Matic
transmission were gone through and rebuilt. During the rebuild
process, the engine and transmission parts were cleaned and
refreshed. The finished product is a squeaky clean drivetrain and
engine that look factory fresh. Just like the rest of the truck,
the underside is extremely clean and finished to a high standard. A
gorgeous truck with a sentimental story and a world class
restoration. And it runs and drives just as good as it looks with
just 200 miles recorded since the restoration. With over $50k
invested in the restoration alone, this museum quality classic is a
bargain at the price we are asking. Be sure to check out all the
photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if
interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking. VIN
