was built the week of March 17-23, 1955 for the North American export market. The car was origionally imported and sold in New Orleans and little is known abut its whereabouts until 1975 when it was purchased by a British car collector in Houston. This owner began a complete frame off restoration where every component of the car was rebuilt to original standards. The car as evidenced by the various "Best in Show" awards that come with the car was shown in the South Texas market successfully by that owner in the early 1980's. The owner passed away in the mid 1980's and the car was stored in a dry secure facility until it was sold to me by his widow in 2018. Since then the car has undergone a mechanical refresh to include all seals and gaskets in the mechanical arena. The car is numbers matching and several photos of the original frame off restoration as well as my mechanical refresh and complete cosmetic restoration are available. Receipts are included with the car. This beautiful numbers matching MG TF 1500's comprehensive frame off restoration included a rebuild of the engine, transmission, rear end, electrical system, clutch, suspension, braking system, gauges and lights and suspension.. More recent improvements include new paint, new black leather interior, new carpet, new tires and all seals and pads . A new generator, voltage regulator, fan belt, brakes, master cylinder and hoses as well as a coolant system refresh were accomplished.
The car is a head turner and is both touring and show ready !
