muscle cars was winding down in the early 1970's, Pontiac found
itself with an unlikely champion in the form of its Firebird Trans
Am. With larger capacity engines than were available in Chevrolet's
Corvette, the Trans Am began building steam, and by the 1977
release of 'Smokey and the Bandit', Pontiac had a genuine legend on
its hands. This stunning Polar White 1970 Trans Am clearly
demonstrates the characteristics that firmly established these cars
in the pantheon of American car culture. From its clean yet
aggressive styling to the unique roar of its Pontiac engine, this
car pushes all of the right buttons. Documentation confirms that
this gem was well-equipped with standard and optional features
including variable ratio power steering, power front disc brakes,
air conditioning (C60), TH400 automatic transmission, Safe-T-Track
differential, body color mirrors, Rally gauge cluster, pushbutton
radio with windshield antenna (U63), rear seat speaker (U80),
console (D55), and Soft Ray tinted glass (A02). An entire page
describing recent maintenance items, correct parts, and upgrades
includes an engine wiring harness, Pertronix electronic ignition,
rebuilt Quadrajet carburetor, new upper ball joints, new Bilstein
shocks, new OEM exhaust with correct hangers and tips, new printed
