Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 20th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Ford used the name Crown Victoria
for three separate series of cars over the years, but Ford
aficionados consider the 1955-1956 Fairlanes as the only 'true'
Crown Vics. These cars were named for a B-pillared roofline
distinguished by a wide stainless steel band crowning the roof. And
at the pinnacle of these collectibles is the 1955 Ford Fairlane
Crown Victoria Skyliner, which featured a transparent, green-tint
Plexiglass roof insert over the front seat. We are thrilled to
offer this gorgeous Sea Sprite Green/Snowshoe White 1955 Skyliner,
one of only 1,999 produced. This beautiful classic features a 272
ci V8, 3-speed manual transmission, Vintage Air air conditioning,
12v conversion with alternator, a custom sun shade for the
Plexiglass roof, and classic 7.10-15 'wide whites' wrapped around
correct steel wheels with correct hubcaps. Ready now for your next
car show, she sports good chrome, good stainless, good paint, good
carpet, and excellent upholstery that is as comfortable as it is
attractive. Now, click on the image of the dashboard. Notice that
the speedometer reads 200; that's kilometers per hour. Well, a copy
of the original dealer invoice shows that this gem was originally
sold to a Dr. Jose R. Perez on November 22, 1955 for 16,450 pesos
in Tunja, Colombia! So, of the 1,999 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown
Victoria Skyliners that were produced, how many do you suppose were
shipped to Colombia, survived 64 years, and look like this? Presto!
Almost certainly one of one! Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full
service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
