Arguably the most desirable year of the C3 Corvette, the sleek “Coke bottle” shape the first few years these Stingrays were built have such a unique low, lean aggressive look to them that you just have to stop and stare.
This particular Corvette has the looks, performance, and sound we all desire from a Muscle Car/American sports car! The vibrate red paint gleams brightly whether in the sun or in the garage. All of the chrome and bright work looks excellent, as does all of the glass. Those roof panels on these Corvettes are removable as is the rear window to provide a full open-air cockpit if you desire.
Turn the key to discover the sound of the high performance big block thundering through the classic side exhaust. Shifting through the gears in this Corvette is smooth as can be, and traveling at road speed, the ride is comfortable, and secure.
Careful observation, and studying this Corvette, it’s obvious it has been treated very well throughout it’s life as evidenced by such tings as: all of the accessories including all lights, heater system, windshield wipers, turn signals, and gauges all work! Additionally, I’ve noticed how well the doors close, and the fitment of the doors appear. Sounds like a small thing, but I’ve been around many vintage Corvettes, and I have seen few operate as well as this one.
Take a look at the undercarriage of the Corvette, and you’ll find a clean no-rust chassis. Fiberglass doesn’t rust, but it can decompensate if not taken care of or neglected. All of the fiberglass on this car is excellent both under the car and the exterior.
If you are considering an early C3 corvette, and you want one that ticks all the boxes. This 1969 should be in contention.
Beautiful, lean, strong, great sounding, great running, and driving Corvette.
