Vehicle Description
This Factory Five Cobra re-creation roadster was built for safety
first, then performance and ease of maintenance. The safety
features include 4-wheel disc brakes, Simpson 4-point safety belt
system and a stainless-steel 2" roll bar. The gas tank is a fuel
cell by Fuel Safe. The suspension features upper and lower tubular
control arms in front, and independent rear suspension, with
coilover shocks in the front and rear. The wheels are
period-correct with real pin-drive knock-off spinners. This Cobra
also has a power-coated frame, ceramic-coated headers and
powder-coated heat treatment on the side pipes. The side pipes also
have stainless-steel heat shields. It's powered by a 5.0-liter
8-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, and
features wind wings, sun visor and a period-correct wood-rim
steering wheel.
