Vehicle Description
STK 2600 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302
Automotive craftsmen hope to conceive a classic with every new clay
model. In 1970, the designers of the Mustang Boss 302 created one
of the meanest-looking muscle cars of the era. Each 'Boss' began
life as an ordinary Mustang 'Sportsroof' coupe that was carefully
optioned into an all-out performance machine. Many say that the
Boss 302 was what the earlier Mustang GT350 really should have
been. This 1970 Boss 302 comes fully restored with a MartiAutoWorks
Report and window sticker - and it is stunning. The two-stage
respray of Medium Blue Metallic (original color - code3319A) is in
excellent condition. All accent components/trim are correct. Magnum
'500' 15" chrome wheels mount Goodyear Polyglass bias-ply tires.
The Mustang's interior has been refreshed with new Medium Blue
Rhino/Corinthian vinyl seating. Dash-pad, carpeting, door cards and
headliner are all in excellent condition. This Boss came factory
equipped with the rare 'rim-blow' deluxe wood-accented wheel, gauge
package, AM radio, tinted windows and tachometer. It is believed
that this is the original 'G-Code' HP 302ci engine that outputs a
conservative 290bhp/290 lb/ft of torque. These motors were fitted
with 4-bolt mains, canted-valve heads designed for the (planned)
Cleveland 351, solid lifters and screw-in freeze plugs. It is
backed by a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission w/factory Hurst
shifter and a Traction-Loc differential that houses 3.91:1 gearing.
The chassis is equipped with quick-ratio power steering, power
disc/drum brakes w/dual master, HD sway bars/spindles and
reinforced shock towers. This classic Boss 302 is a piece of Blue
Oval history from a time when muscle cars ruled the streets. It is
an investment that will not disappoint. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
