The wagon is powered by a great running 350ci V8 engine with upgrades including the MSC 6AL ignition, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Victor JR. intake, Edelbrock valve covers and Headers with dual exhaust, and matched with a 4-speed manual transmission. The exterior is done in a two-tone green metallic lower and dark green metallic top. The fit and finish is very good with all the panel gaps being correct and the chrome shinning bright in the sun. The interior carries the same theme as the outside, with the dash and doors in the same color scheme as the exterior. The bench seat is finished in the green and dark green with a diamond-pattern upholstery and doesn’t show any wear marks or tears and is fitted with seat belts front and rear.
The Malibu runs and handles very well and is a blast to drive. When you sit in the driver’s seat and turn the key the ’65 fires right up and gives you that nice rumble from the headers and dual exhaust. When you look at the dash the Malibu has been outfitted with Auto Meter auxiliary gauges and 10,000 RPM tachometer. In addition to the upgraded gauges, an AM/FM/CD stereo system has also been added to add to the pleasure of cruising. The ’65 rides on black mag-style wheels and P235/60R15’s front and rear. It has a great stance and look about it. Other options include power steering, power brakes and the power rear window.
