Vehicle Description
1983 Datsun 280ZX
Why This Vehicle is Special
The 1983 Datsun 280ZX we have here at Skyway Classics has an
attractive performance classic car pedigree and looks sharp with
its NACA scoop in the hood. And ours is painted in the very
pleasing factory correct Cadet Blue Metallic, which still looks
great.
Mechanical
Our 280X has the fuel-injected 2.8-liter SOHC inline-six engine
that has great power and revs easily and is mated to a five-speed
manual transmission, fully independent suspension, and four-wheel
disc brakes.
Power steering is standard equipment with a new rack-and-pinion
system and it has a sporty rear suspension, and brake calipers and
rotors.
Interior
The interior has a matching blue/tan plush velour seats with a
center console. It has a sports steering wheel, large speedo and
tach, power windows, power locks, cruise control, AM/FM/cassette
stereo, and factory air conditioning.
Exterior
The paint scheme on the 280ZX is a great factory correct Cadet Blue
Metallic with full-length pinstriping, 14 inch six-spoke alloy
wheels, a revised B-pillar garnish, new pin-stripe style
taillights, and body colored bumpers.
Conclusion
As a GT car, the 1983 Datsun 280ZX we have at Skyway Classics hits
the mark as it did back then too. It will eat up vast distances of
driving on highways or twisty-curvey roads too, in relative
comfort, as what Datsun designed it to be in the first place.
The ZX hits its mark.
