Vehicle Description
This 1961 Pontiac Ventura custom bubble top was built by the
legendary Bo Huff and Street Rods by Michael. It's powered by its
original 389ci 8-cylinder engine coupled to an automatic
transmission. It has been in numerous magazines and is a multiple
show-winner, including the Grand National winner in 2008. A
complete frame-off restoration was performed to show-quality
throughout, with many custom modifications done. The exterior
features taillights from a 1961 Buick Invicta, Pete Paulsen
custom-made wheels, RideTech suspension, shaved door handles, nosed
decklid and shaved rear fender extensions. Over 1,000 hours were
spent on the paint alone. It's finished in Sunrise Candy with Candy
Tangerine scallops and a metal flake laced roof with variegated
gold leaf coves. The body is laser-straight and the chrome trim on
the car is show-quality. The undercarriage is clean and detailed as
well. The interior features a '62 Cadillac steering wheel, original
gauges and radio, custom dash, and Pearl White seats with
interchangeable inserts from white to black. The headliner, door
panels and rear decklid are all in good condition. The heat does
work in the car as well. The entire car was rewired with Painless
wiring and labeled. The trunk is detailed with a custom light.
Included with the sale are matching panels in the wheel wells,
custom mats, spare parts collected over the years, a full-sized
spare, an extra original radio, and all magazines and trophies.
