Vehicle Description
The 1966 Thunderbird is an iconic car that blended luxury and
muscle together right in the middle of the muscle car era. This was
a time period in which manufactures were jamming the biggest
engines they could into most of their cars and the Thunderbird was
not exempt. This one was built with a massive 428 cubic inch big
block with over 450 ft-lbs of torque propelling the car into a
(fast for the time) 16 second 1/4 mile. This one has made it 50
years relatively original without major modifications. It still has
its original drivetrain, seats, top, radio, and air conditioning
system that all work like they did in 1966. The owner has a spare
started and alternator in the trunk to go with the car because he
bought two of each when he replaced them last year. Original parts
are hard to find, why not have a back-up? The battery is brand new
and the car fires up easily. The warm up time to put it in drive is
minimal and this classy Ford is ready to take you wherever you care
to venture. The only thing that could use some attention are the
temperamental window switches. This is a very reliable car that
will suit a collector or someone just getting started with classics
very well. Financing is available and trades are welcome.
