Vehicle Description
1956 Chevrolet BelAir
One of the most iconic classic cars ever created has to be the tri
five Chevrolet BelAirs. This set of cars is one of the most easily
identified classics on the road. This 1956 is a nice example of one
of these cars and has been entirely rebuilt. Thousands of hours and
dollars was put into the body alone to remove any evidence of rust
and prep it for the very nice Silver and Black color combo. The
bumpers and the trim piece around the the chrome grill has been
painted Silver to match the body giving it a unique look. The side
trim and windshield trim is still polished and shines very nicely
with no pitting or issues. All of the glass even the quarter
windows has been replaced with OEM tinted glass. A nice addition to
the car is the 3rd brake light mounted to the trunk lid which was
created out of a 50s era Chevrolet emblem. The taillights have also
been modified with Amber lenses for the turn signals instead of the
factory clear ones. Up front it has halogen headlights with the
halo ring. It has even been fitted with turn signal indicators in
OEM style side mirrors. The stance of the car is great and it rides
around on custom 15 inch 6 spoke wheels which incorporate Black and
Silver to match the body.
The car is a factory V8 BelAir but is now sporting a Jasper rebuilt
350 small block V8. It has been fitted with an Edelbrock 600cfm
carburetor with electric choke, a GM electronic ignition
distributor, Edelbrock valve covers and a custom air cleaner. Just
because you are driving a classic doesn't mean you have to
sacrifice comfort so this car was upgraded with a Vintage AC kit
and power brakes. The brake booster and master cylinder are all
chrome and discs have also been added up front. The wiring was
completely redone with an aftermarket harness and all new fuse
panel. The transmission is a 700R4 from Monster Transmissions and
it transfers power back to the 1967 Camaro 10 bolt true posi rear
end.
The interior features Black upholstery with custom aluminum door
panels. The high back swivel bucket seats are out of a 76 Laguna S3
and the rear bench is original to the car. Mounted to the floor is
a B&M t-handle automatic Megashifter which moves through the
gears with ease. In front of the driver sits a Flaming River tilt
steering column with an aftermarket wood grain steering wheel.
Another nice upgrade includes the Flaming River cruise control
system. The dash of the car is painted in a nice two tone to match
the exterior and features Dakota Digital analog gauges.
This is a great running 56 that has been totally reworked to make
it run down the road just as good as it looks. With a lot of modern
upgrades you may look like you are in a 50s classic but will
driving much more smoothly than they did originally. These things
don't stay up for sale very long so check it out while it is still
available.
