Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1972 International
Harvester Scout II. This Scout shows as an attractive driver with
good options and many recent upgrades. It is finished in Shadow
Grey (similar to the IH color of Embassy Grey) with a white
removable hardtop - paint quality is nice overall but not so
perfect that you would be afraid to take it off road. The brown,
tan and plaid interior is in excellent condition and certainly
period appropriate. This example has a modest lift and 33x12.50 mud
terrains on 15-inch alloy wheels; it also sports a custom front
winch bumper.
A 2017 service included rebuilding the Dana axles, power front disk
brake upgrade, HEI ignition, heater core, fuel tank sender,
transmission reseal and more - this work totaled over $8,000. New
exhaust was installed in 2018. Along with the power disk brakes
this Scout is optioned with power steering, 304 ci V8, automatic
transmission, bucket seats and console. The factory under dash A/C
unit remains in place and could be functional with new lines and
compressor. It runs and drives well and is ready for on or off road
adventures.
