These cars are extremely fun and nimble to drive, and their 6-speed
gearbox is one of the (if not THE) best in the business.
The AP2's represented a departure from the famed 9,000 RPM redline
AP1's that made headlines upon their release in 2000. Honda instead
lowered it to a still applaudable 8,000 RPM redline in favor of a
more torque-filled midrange powerband.
