Vehicle Description
1965 Backdraft Racing Shelby Cobra Roadster Backdraft Factory
Build- 427R/500HP - 3,200 Miles - No Expense Spared (Please note:
If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than
our main website, it's possible that only some of our many
photographs of this car are not presented due to website
limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go
to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) Yes, we'd all love to own
a real Cobra but with prices breeching $2 million, it's not that
plausible. That's why companies like Backdraft Racing have helped
fill the void, and this particular Backdraft, has done it to
perfection. The car you see here is indeed a tribute but unlike
other kit cars, it was built to spec in the Backdraft Racing
factory, with top-end options selected by our client. Since
completed in 2013, he has been the only owner and has driven it
3,200 miles. The car was ordered in true Shelby fashion with Avis
Blue paint and White stripes over a Black interior. The option list
in lengthy, which we will get into later as the most important
option ordered was under the hood. This car is powered by a Roush
427R with 550HP mated to a TKO 600 Tremec 5-Speed Gearbox, both
professionally built by Speedfanatix. To say this car has balls is
an understatement. It fires on command and purrs heavenly exhaust
notes. Other options ordered include upgraded 18-inch Knock-Off
Staggered Wheels, complete Paint Protection film, Ceramic Headers
and Sidepipes, Glove Box, Heater, Limited Slip Differential with
3:46 Gears, Mota-lita Styled Steering Wheel, Oil Cooler, Ray Dot
Mirror, External Front Fans, and Wilwood Big Brake Kit. The car has
been on the Dyno and at the crank, its pushing 550HP. A full folder
of build information, receipts, records, car cover, and tonneau
cover accompany the sale. The car is as good as new and worthy of
any collection. You will not find a better built nor performing
Cobra tribute at this price point. No excuses, just tons of fun
behind the wheel. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on
