from a 1970s era "box-body" C10 Roll-up bed cover 115-inch
wheelbase and 5,000-pound GVWR By the late 1960s, General Motors
began equipping its Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks with more
comfort and convenience features, making them more than workhorses
or rolling tools. This particular C10 had a frame-off restoration
in 2016 and is one of the more beautiful Action Line trucks to come
through MotoeXotica Classic Cars recently. Built in GM's Lakewood,
Georgia factory, this truck is dressed in White (code 521). The
paint and trim are in overall excellent condition. Thanks to the
restoration, the glass panels, the lights, the body and the chrome
bumpers are all in great shape. The bodywork is straight and solid
as expected, the truck has a 115-inch wheelbase and a gross vehicle
weight rating (GWVR) of 5,000 pounds. The engine bay is extremely
tidy, as is the truck's cargo bay, which has a Literides roll-up
bed cover. This truck rolls on Performance GT Grand Prix tires,
size P255/70R15 all around. The tires are mounted on factory alloy
wheels from the "box-body" C10 era from the 1970s. The wheels are
in excellent shape while the tires are in very good shape. Under
the hood is a rebuilt 305 CID V-8 engine with an aluminum radiator
and breathing via dual stainless-steel exhausts. Backing this motor
is the original Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. Driver
convenience features include vintage air-conditioning, power
steering, a deluxe air heater and Sears aftermarket cruise control.
Inside, a red vinyl interior with the Cheyenne pattern, including
the dashpad, replaced the original interior. The red bench seat is
in excellent condition while the red carpeting is in very good
shape. The truck's headliner looks great, the factory three-spoke
steering wheel is in very good condition while the instrument panel
is in excellent shape while the door trim panels are finished with
the embossed Cheyenne pattern and are in very good order. The
chrome gearshift lever and a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with a CD player
completes the interior. A new, more modern look came for 1967,
along with a new nickname: "Action Line." It was with this revision
of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and
convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for
work purposes alone. The majority of 10 series and some 20 series
Chevrolet trucks from 1966 to 1972 were equipped with a coil spring
trailing arm rear suspension, which greatly improved the ride over
traditional leaf springs. However, the leaf spring rear suspension
was still available on those trucks, and standard on 30 series
trucks. All two-wheel drive trucks came with independent front
suspension, while 4x4's used a conventional solid axle with leaf
springs. Nineteen sixty-seven was the only model year for the
"small rear window" (RPO A10 offered a large rear window as a
factory option). Optional transmissions included a three-speed
overdrive unit (C-10 only) and several different four-speed
manuals, the Powerglide two-speed automatic, or the
Turbo-Hydramatic 350 and 400 three-speed automatics. Ten-series
trucks came with a 6 x 5.5-inch bolt pattern, the - and 1-ton
trucks came with an 8 x 6.5-inch bolt pattern. Documentation
includes an owner's manual for the Pioneer stereo and an owner's
manual for the Sears cruise control. Competition to this Chevrolet
in 1967 included Dodge's D-100, Ford's F-150, GMC's 1000 Wide-side
and International's 1100B half-ton trucks. This is one beautiful
late 60s Chevy C10 and we don't think it will linger long here at
MotoeXotica Classic Cars so you should act quickly and visit us
