For Sale: 1941 Chevrolet Deluxe Business Coupe in Jefferson, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

I recently bought this car back. The previous owner had it five years and put on 1500 miles. His knee replacement forced him to start driving a car with an automatic transmission.

What a great looking car! I love the lines. And because it is a business coupe. I like it even more.

This car is mostly original. The interior appears original, the powertrain is. There have been minimal repairs/touch-ups to the exterior. It appears to be bone stock.

The 216 runs great. It has started in -20 Degree weather without assistance. It sounds good and does not smoke. There are only 74,9XX miles on the odometer, so it still has some life left. .

The interior is partially original and it does show some age. But it is not so bad that is needs to be replaced and it sure wouldn’t embarrass you when on display. In fact I find the condition of the interior and the entire car, to be one of the strong points. The seat was reupholstered and extra material is with the car for the door panels. A new headliner from Chev’s of the 40’s was recently installed.

All features function properly this car is very simple. No Radio or heater from the factory. A working Southwind heater was installed many moons ago.

Recently, the wheel cylinders were replaced. The clutch was replaced and the valves adjusted. The bias ply tires are in wonderful condition.

The generator was rebuilt and the radiator boiled out and new hoses installed. The most recent owner loved to tinker and keep his baby in tip-top shape.

The stainless, chrome and glass are all in wonderful condition. The doors and trunk lock via key. There is a spare tire and jack.

We found a bit of rust on the inner rocker in front of both rear wheels. A known area for concern caused by mud that gets caked in that area. It is not of structural concern and is not visible unless you are fully beneath the car. The floors, rocker panels, and trunk are amazingly solid.

This is a great survivor. The style will always be popular. I like it original, but wouldn’t it be fun to hotrod this car?
