Vehicle Description
1969 Chevrolet Pro Touring Camaro For Sale- Turnkey GM Crate LS3
Engine LMC is proud to offer this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Touring
for sale. The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro has become one of,
if not the most, popular platform for high-end Pro Touring and
muscle car builds, and with good reason. Its timeless good looks
and strong stock performance make it an ideal platform from which
to build a high-performance street and track machine. But even in
that crowded field, this Camaro stands out. Starting with the
exterior, this car is simply fantastic to look at. The show quality
GM Admiral Blue metallic paint covers a laser-straight body. The
car has been outfitted with some with factory GM body components
including an SS hood and RS headlight assembly. The Rally Sport
headlights have been retrofitted with Detroit Speed headlight kit
which converts the headlight motors to electric instead of vacuum
which operates the headlight doors more reliably, smoother and
without the complicated and bulky vacuum accessories. All of the
chrome has been removed from this car; all trim is either
body-coloured, black, or metallic dark grey. Speaking of trim, the
astute observer will note that this Camaro does not feature any
window trim -- rather, it has been fitted with Fesler flush mounted
windows all around. While a subtle change, it really helps to bring
out the timeless lines of the Camaro. Ringbrothers curved door
handles and rear spoiler finish off the exterior. Opening the hood
reveals an ultra-clean engine bay housing an LS3 fortified with a
high-performance camshaft. This lightweight, all-aluminum small
block retains its stock intake manifold and electronic fuel
injection making for quick, trouble-free starts every time. An
color-coordinated engine cover tops it off while a power steering
pump and Vintage Air A/C compressor keep it company. Due to modern
fuel injection, the car starts very well and sounds terrific at
idle. This modern powerplant is backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive, with gears selected via the stock
"horseshoe" style shifter. Moving from the top of the car to the
bottom, you will find that this Camaro keeps its shiny side up with
the addition of Detroit Speed suspension. These parts offer massive
improvements in both straight-line traction and cornering grip over
the stock 1969 geometry. Same goes for the brakes, which have been
upgraded to mammoth Wilwood discs at all four corners. That said,
the best drivetrain and suspension parts in the world are useless
without the wheels and tires to match; luckily this Camaro wears
sticky modern BF Goodrich radial tires wrapped around custom
3-piece forged Forgeline wheels. Rest assured that this Camaro will
turn and stop just as well as it goes. All of this power and grip
is managed from the comfort of a very well-appointed cabin. The
front and rear seats are of course black leather and are supremely
comfortable, while a tasteful Billet Specialties steering wheel
connects you to the road. The Camaro retains a largely stock
dashboard layout, however its stock gauges have been replaced with
futuristic Dakota Digital gauges. If things get a little too hot to
handle, a flick of a switch will send ice-cold conditioned air
flowing your way thanks to a Vintage Air A/C unit. This Camaro
really does have it all. If you are looking for that perfect
balance between vintage class, modern performance, and updated
style and amenities, all wrapped up in a stunning package ready to
be driven every day, then this Camaro is for you. Additional
