offer this beautiful, true, Series 1 Cooper S finished in its
original color combination. Although the car is small in stature,
it has a big presence in our showroom among other enthusiast
vehicles. We see on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust
(BMIHT) Certificate, that the car was a Home Market, RHD Mini built
the 20th of January 1967. It was dispatched on the 1st of March
1967 to Mann Egerton & Company LTD in Norwich England to be offered
for sale. Just as it is today, the car left the factory finished in
Old English White w/Black roof, over Red and Gold interior.
Factory options included heater, twin fuel tanks, and an oil
cooler. The way the car is currently finished is superb. Every
little detail was looked at as the car was restored. Interior,
engine, and exterior are just gorgeous. Stacks and stacks of
receipts for every little part for this car were kept and filed as
the restoration took place. Many parts were ordered from the UK,
so in addition to the amazing amount of money spent on parts, the
amount spent on shipping is surprising as well. During the very
recent restoration, the car was tastefully modified visually and
mechanically. A large majority of the changes/modifications can be
reversed to factory specs if desired with the spare parts we have
for the car. The interior finish is impeccable, and finished in the
original color combination of Red and Gold. The interior features a
removable Safety Devices roll bar, LeCarra steering wheel, Smiths
tachometer, and bucket seats. In addition to the tasteful
interior and exterior modifications, the original 1275cc engine and
transmission were rebuilt. Every little part was checked over,
measured, and replaced if necessary. Some of the notable things to
mention are: new A and E pistons, leaded valve seats, new valves,
ARP bolts, and Longman GT7 SPVP3 Camshaft. Also, a Newer radiator
with tropical fan was added, the generator was replaced with an
alternator, and an Odyssey battery was installed. This car is a
pleasure to drive! A few boxes of spare parts goes with the car,
and are original or correct for the original specs for the car.
The larger parts to mention are: front bumper, steering wheel,
glass, right hand drive components, generator, starter, radiator.
The amount of great things to say about this car are nearly
endless. Why not make it yours, and you can come up with all sorts
of great things of your own to say! Be sure to check out all the
photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if
interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
