Vehicle Description
Here at RK Motors Charlotte we sell A LOT of investment grade
Chevelles. However, as much as we enjoy historic pieces, we're also
red-blooded car enthusiasts who love selling cars that can actually
be driven and enjoyed as they were originally intended. And with
awesome Black aesthetics and 6.2 liters of hot Chevrolet
Performance LS3, this slick Chevelle drop-top will turn driving
your muscle car from a hobby into an obsession! Looking for some
sweet Detroit metal that wraps exceptional drivability in one of
the best looking packages to ever roll down American streets?
Here's your next classic!
PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION
Buff, bad and ready to roll, this pristine Chevelle is the
beneficiary of a body-off rotisserie restoration. That nut-and-bolt
reboot, conducted by the pros at Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania's Tony's
Muscle Cars, dressed solid sheetmetal in a rich coat of Tuxedo
Black 2-stage. And today, this handsome Chevy walks a fine line
between tastefully modern and traditionally conservative. At the
front of the car's sinister profile, a Chevelle-branded grille
centers a prominent "SS" emblem between stainless-trimmed
headlights and a broad bumper that's finished with clear parking
lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar Cowl Induction Hood
flows to factory-tint glass that's framed in straight stainless and
capped in tight canvas. At the sides of the car, bright wheel
frames add a little pizzazz while traditional door handles
perfectly complement a duo of factory mirrors. And out back, a
second broad bumper stretches a clean SS inlay between polished
exhaust tips and conservative taillights.
LS NATION
If you think the exterior of this Chevelle is impressive, you're
going to LOVE what's under its hood! Officially known as the
Chevrolet Performance LS376/480, the car's spry engine twists
respectable 10.7 to 1 compression into 495 horsepower and 473
lb./ft. of torque. At the top of the block, a remote Spectre filter
element feeds a polished air tube, which funnels wind into a proven
GM throttle body that fronts a lightweight GM intake. That air
meets spark in rectangular-port L92-style heads, which ride under a
vivid plenum cover and Chevelle-branded coil covers. A nodular
crank, powdered connecting rods and hypereutectic pistons compress
that volatile union. A racing-inspired LS Hot Cam maximizes intake
efficiency through better breathing. Speaking of breathing, that
smooth valvetrain funnels spent gases through muted GM manifolds.
There's a massive Be Cool radiator that's slid between a
body-matched cowl and flashy chrome puller fans. Vintage Air Front
Runner serpentine components spin Detroit Speed power steering
beneath a polished alternator and a polished AC compressor. And the
all-aluminum mill rolls in a smooth, Tuxedo Black frame that's
finished with niceties like a Holley oil pan, a body-matched
battery box, billet Eddie Motorsports hood supports and polished
brake components that were sourced from The Right Stuff
Detailing.
LOOKS GREATS, DRIVES GREAT
Take a gander under this cool A-Body and you'll find a fully
detailed chassis that mixes new age technology with old school
durability. A Metallic Silver frame, sandblasted bare during the
detailed restoration, reflects thoroughly solid floorpans that,
likewise sandblasted, have been dressed in a clean layer of Tuxedo
Black. At the center of those floors, a McLeod hydraulic clutch
kicks a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed, which spins a tough 12-bolt axle
that hides 4.10 gears and a posi-traction differential behind a TA
Performance inspection cover. Stopping is a cinch thanks to drilled
and slotted rotors, which get grabbed by Wilwood 4 and 6-piston
calipers. Lucid power steering complements a modernized suspension
that's finished with an upsized front sway bar, a factory rear sway
bar, tubular front control arms and adjustable rear control arms.
Exhaust is handled by a series of aluminized pipes, which swirl
spent gases through an H-shaped crossover to either electronic
cutouts or throaty turbo mufflers. And at the corners, Nitto Invo
redlines, sized 245/40R18 and 275/40R20, twist chromed Ridler
645s.
CLASSIC WITH A TOUCH OF MODERN
Check the car's clean interior and you'll find a familiar muscle
car aesthetic that's had modern convenience integrated where it
counts. The front seats are heavily bolstered units that were
sourced directly from TMI, and the rear seat has been covered and
stitched to match. Front and center, a monochromatic dash founds
Dakota Digital VHX telemetry above modern, direct-fit audio and
components for Vintage Air conditioning. At the sides of that dash,
integrated Pioneer kick speakers lead custom side panels. The
driver enjoys the car's power through a long Hurst shifter and a
billet steering wheel. And the passenger's stow essentials in a
custom-upholstered trunk.
If you're in the market for a choice boulevard bruiser that's a
blast to show off and even MORE fun to drive, your search is
officially over! This professionally restored Chevelle mixes
classic Chevrolet looks with a ton of power and some of the best
drivetrain components on the market. Call, click or visit
