1965 Austin-Healey 3000 MK III Roadster
With a sworn affadavit from the original owner, this vehicle was purchased in 2015 and was judged in the summer of 2018 where it was given the highest rating granted by the Austin-Healey Concours Registry.
With only one class of competition in the Healey world, this car was judged by the same expectations applied to recent full restorations and received a score of 962.5 out of 1000. In the words of the President of the Healey Organization - it was "a real treat to see such a low mileage, original car. ...thanks again for all the work you've done to preserve history."
In private we were told that the reason there isn't a "preservation class" for Healey is because, with the exception of this vehicle, there are no other original vehicles in this level of condition known to exist.
The only updates this car has received are the changing of all fluids and wear and safety items and the machining of the head to allow for safe burning of unleaded fuel. This work was performed to the highest standards by a respected expert in the field.
The original tires as placed on the original wheels in the Birmingham, England factory show well and come with the car. New radials and race tuned chrome wire wheels also come with the car for safe operation.
Amongst the documents available for your inspection are the full judging forms from the Concours Judges. One cannot hire a more qualified or unbiased group of experts to inspect a car than the four person team that crawled over every inch of this vehicle and compared it to the best of the best.
