car. After all, the 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra was the debut of
new power-packed DOHC 4.6-liter V8, and featured a very exclusive
color only used to launch this special pony car. And to take it all

because the original Mystic Clearcoat Metallic is a special
color-shifting paint that was only offered in '96. Ford
specifically announced only 2,000 examples before shutting the

shifter are all part of the performance package for the driver.
Plus, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, a key FOB that
controls the electric cut-outs, cruise control, an
AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo, and air conditioning will keep everyone
happy inside the comfortable cabin. Since this is a modern classic,
you also get to take advantage of features like dual airbags and
anti-lock brakes, added piece of mind when you're bending a corner
at redline. Out back the trunk is spacious and includes a rubber
prancing pony mat.
Since this car has been so preserved thus far, it should be no
surprise that it has its original performance-bred V8 under the
hood, although it has been kicked up a notch by way of a 10psi
ProCharger. This was the debut year for the DOHC 4.6-liter motor,
and it's 305 hp output really returned the Mustang Cobra to top-dog
status at the time, and the performance from the supercharger now
rivals it against modern performance vehicles. That supercharger
obviously required special cooling as well, so a ton of time and
effort was spent getting that dialed in so you can have all the fun
you want and still enjoy the cold A/C. Averaging less than 1,200
miles a year since new, this Cobra is barely broken in, and can
either be put up to preserve as an investment now, or enjoyed for
many years to come. Helping corral all this explosive performance
is the power steering, sway bars front (upgraded) & rear, a 4-link
suspension out back, and massive power four-wheel disc brakes.
