Redesigned for 1965 the Ford Galaxie featured dual headlights that
were vertically arranged. Other changes for the new model year
included a new 3-link rear suspension with coils in replace of leaf
springs, new instrument cluster, and two-way keys (one for the
doors/ignition and the other for the trunk/glovebox). The 352 cu in
(5.8L) FE V8 which this car is equipped with also came standard
from the factory with dual exhausts and a 4bbl carburetor. Other
features include: a Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission that
sends power through a Ford rear end with a 3.00:1 gear ratio,
front/rear power drum brakes, and power steering. This particular
2-door fastback Galaxie rolled off the line at the Chicago plant on
August 31 finished in Wimbledon White and the Ivy Gold with
headrest vinyl trim selected for the interior. The 5 digit odometer
