1957 Chevrolet Corvette
Featuring a period correct 283 cubic inch small block V8, rated at 270 horsepower (EG block, two four-barrel carbs, solid lifter cam), and coupled to a four speed manual, this classic Corvette is about as nice as you'll find one. Owned by the same person since November 1989 and restored in its original Onyx Black and Inca Silver glory, the car drives like new with a rebuilt motor (less than 4,000 miles since rebuild), rebuilt steering box and column, rebuilt front suspension, and new rear springs. The car has a complete new wiring harness.
Inside, the brand-new Venetian Red interior perfectly complements the dazzling exterior. There's a working Wonderbar radio, power windows, and all gauges (including tachometer) and accessories work 100%. Outside, the chrome is in very good condition, and you're not likely to find another 57 Corvette with paint that looks this good. That's because the body was totally stripped and painted during its restoration. This Corvette boasts the correct steel wheels and wheel covers. All of the rubber on the car is new.
In just the fifth model year of the Corvette's long history, GM had finally gotten the formula right: small car, big power, and one of the timeless shapes that has turned heads for more than 60 years.
