17th! Talk about a needle in a haystack!!! This is an extremely
rare, 1 of 50, 1966 Malibu SS 396 convertibles built by GM of
Canada at the Oshawa plant on February 16th, 1966. It is verified
by the GM of Canada paperwork that goes with the car. This is the
A51 sports equipment option that changed a Malibu into a Super
Sport model in Canada. It is the equivalent of the US Chevelle SS.
This car was featured in Super Chevy magazine in October of 1988.
It was presented that year at Super Chevy Sunday at US 131 Dragway
in Michigan, where it won the coveted Editor's Choice Show Award.
It was owned at the time by it's second owner from Ontario Canada.
It is powered by it's correct 396/360hp motor. It is red and has
the black bucket seat interior with the factory center console. It
has the following options which include a black convertible power
top, tinted glass, seat belts, 4.10 posi-traction rear end, block
heater, electronic ignition, 396/360hp motor, M20 4-speed
transmission, wood wheel, wheel covers, high RPM tach and SS396 ID
front and rear. It is a beautiful car in every way and has been
part of our Museum for over a decade! If you want to have something
very special in your car collection then it does not get much
better than this super rare Malibu SS396 convertible!!!
