Vehicle Description
This 1957 Cadillac is a rare opportunity to own a true Arizona
Desert Barn Find. This car has been sitting untouched since it was
parked in 1973 in a Phoenix gas station and repair shops back lot.
Mr Morcomb amassed a large collection of 1940s-1970s rust free
classics that his customers no longer could hold onto and did
nothing with them til he passed away recently. Story of this car
was that his wife backed into his beloved Caddy and dented the
door, so he parked it until he could find time to work on the door
and repaint it, but that day never came. The car has never had any
body or paint work on it and is untouched as you will ever find a
1957 Cadillac. Note the registration slips from 1967-1973 that were
in the glovebox. Also note the sticker on the car from late 60s
early 70s Glendale Community College. Please follow this link to
learn a little bit about the family and shop that owned this car
for so many years.

The rare things that make this car worth restoring are as follows:
Factory A/C, Power Windows and the awesome original color of
Amethyst Metallic. Rare options in 1957. This car is also
completely in tact with no hard to find trim pieces missing other
than needing a new set of rocker moldings due to damage. The car
has 91,000 original miles and still has clean oil up to the correct
fill level on the dipstick. The trans fluid is topped up and
doesn't smell burnt. I think with a new starter and some tune up
parts this engine will fire up! We pulled the original plugs which
didn't look fouled and injected marvel mystery oil into all 8
cylinders to prevent cylinder damage after so many years sitting.
Installed a new battery and crossed our fingers, but starter didn't
even try. Car does roll on the fresh tires and has all 4 rare
original hubcaps! That's as far as we got with this beauty. Other
projects are in front of this one and we are hoping to find it a
new home and an excited future owner to take this beauty back to
her former glory! We named her Violet and she needs a new loving
home. Call Jon @ 480-703-2337 for more info. We can arrange
transport Nationwide.
